New Consultants Course - 15 and 16 November 2021

New Consultants Course - 15 and 16 November 2021
The College is pleased to announce the programme for the 2021 New Consultants Course. As in previous years the course will be chaired by Anna Maino, Consultant at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, and RCOphth New Consultants Lead. The College is aware of the gap between knowledge acquired during training and the daily demands on consultants and this course is aimed to address this. The course will ease the transition to your new role and it will provide you with a number of skills, which you will use on a daily basis. Due to the ongoing Covid 19 situation, this year’s course will again be delivered remotely and will consist of 4 modules, delivered over 2 days. Topics covered include how to deal with complaints, job planning, how to write a business case, leadership and resilience. There will also be sessions on how to set up a private practice, pension issues and a final Q and A session. This year’s course will take place REMOTELY on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 November 2021.
