Retinal Buckling Course - 25 June 2021
This is a joint course by BEAVRS and RCOphth. It is aimed at vitreoretinal fellows with good understanding of principles of treatment of retinal detachment, who want to develop their skills further. The course will provide an in-depth discussion of art of scleral buckling with one-to-one tuition by experienced vitreoretinal surgeons. The participants will be able to practice placement of radial, circumferencial and encircling buckles on model eyes, learn when the buckle is not satisfactory and how to reposition it.  The educational value of the course is 6 CPD points which are based on reflection and discussion. Ophthalmologists are now encouraged to record their learning and development through self-certification.
